This week is Construction Safety Week (CSW) May 5th thru May 9th.
CSW started in 2014, when more than 40 national and global construction firms comprising the Construction Industry Safety Initiative (CISI) group and the Incident and Injury Free (IIF) CEO Forum joined forces with a single aim: to inspire everyone in the industry to be leaders in safety. The mission of Construction Safety Week is to: “Strengthen our industry’s safety culture and performance by strengthening the resolve of every person who walks onto a job site to be fully focused – mind and body – on safety. We are dedicated to elevating the impact our safe choices have on our team members, their families, and the communities in which we live and work. We are united in our commitment to continuously improve our safety culture – not just during Safety Week but every day on every job site.”
Here at Bigge, we live this mindset every day, Safety is our #1 CORE VALUE!
We are seeking for every team member working for Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. to make a commitment to executing your daily task with excellence. Our commitment to safety is reflected in the level of precision and intention we bring to our work. This is the ultimate team sport, and it takes every single person following the plan exactly and working together to manage all aspects throughout the process to ensure that precision and execution are all at the highest levels. When we’re successful as individuals, we play a part in making the whole team successful!
Everyone has to be all in, own their part, and set the bar to perform with pride together every day. This makes our teams stronger, our work safer, and ultimately leads to actions that create a positive culture shift throughout the entire industry.
So, for the next 5 days we are going to summarize CSW’s 5 topics…
Day 1 Plan with Precision: You take pride in your work and even greater pride in the incredible things we accomplish as a team. High-performing teams start every day and operate with a strong plan, a plan that considers every aspect of every task up front, so we’re able to anticipate challenges, prepare for the unexpected and overcome potential hazards and eliminate or reduce them before we perform our duties…
